About the project
This mixed-use, free-market residential building activates an underutilized block in the City’s downtown core. It includes ground-story commercial spaces, second and third story residential apartments with onsite parking and a public pathway connection. The building’s contemporary design includes references to Western heritage, blending with other downtown buildings while representing an increase in scale and intensity of use. To seamlessly integrate the development with the City’s small-town main street aesthetic, attractive and accessible amenities were added to the streetscape, along with public infrastructure necessary to support more social and economic activity in Driggs.
How we did it
Harmony provided survey and civil engineering for the 0.6-acre site, creating a 5000 cubic foot underground stormwater retention system to serve the Front Street Lofts mixed-use building, as well as the adjacent commercial-mixed use development. It incorporates water quality treatment in addition to recharging the groundwater aquifer through infiltration.
Sewer and water service, electric, and communication utilities were designed and integrated to serve the 26 residences and nearly 10,000 square feet of commercial space.
