About the project
The Shoshoni School is a new 146,525 square foot building for grades K through 12 designed by Plan One Architects. The 32-acre site includes parking and drop-off areas, outdoor gathering and seating areas, a football stadium, practice fields, multi-use hard surface courts, playgrounds, landscaping, and native reclamation areas. Construction was completed in 2016 at a cost of $41 million.
How we did it
Harmony provided landscape and irrigation system design, and assisted the architect with detailed site planning that included the layout of site features, as well as pedestrian and vehicular circulation.
Site landscaping consists of native and adaptive ornamental plantings, turfgrass athletic fields, meadow grass, vegetative windbreaks, and native reclamation areas. The irrigation system consists of 49 zones that include rotary heads, water-wise spray heads and efficient drip line systems. Water is supplied by a dedicated on-site well.
